STEVE SULT: GRAPHIC DESIGNER &
ILLUSTRATOR
Steve Sult creates his art in Southwestern Michigan from his studio in Niles. His work combines elements of the WPA's poster campaigns in the 1930s, pop art, Russian constructivist art, and DIY-influenced art. Over the past 2 years, Steve has begun to experiment with the Art brut 'raw art’, style to describe more personal experiences as graffiti or naïve art.

Background
Born in South Bend, Indiana, Steve attended Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and received his degree in Graphic Design and Advertising from Kendall School of Art and Design, Grand Rapids, Michigan. He gained notoriety as art director and creative director with advertising agencies and design groups throughout the Midwest.
Steve founded Sult Mine Creative Group in
2003 and retired from marketing and design assignments in 2020 focused on commissioned art as well as event branding and social justice causes.
